Esmeralda - A Mais Nobre Esperança
For my final project, I independently created an inclusive children’s book with the goal of expanding representation in childhood narratives. The story features a princess with Down Syndrome, encouraging positive visibility, empathy and inclusion. This project evolved into a multiplatform experience, combining literature, illustration, accessibility and digital engagement. I collaborated with a dedicated illustrator for character development and visuals, partnered with an NGO specializing in audiobooks for blind audiences, and produced a LIBRAS video version with an interpreter, animated scenarios and subtitles — ensuring access for deaf readers as well. To promote the book, I developed a digital campaign on Instagram, including an exclusive interactive filter, expanding reach and engagement through social media. A creative initiative that united storytelling, accessibility and purpose — proving that every child deserves to see themselves as the hero of their own story.
